Site Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive finance professional with a strong accounting background to take full ownership of the finance function at our Johannesburg South site. This role blends financial responsibility with close operational involvement, directly supporting site performance and overall business success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete finance function, including month‑end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow reports.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT and statutory compliance requirements.
• Support audit processes and ensure adherence to company policies and financial controls.
• Assist with site‑related administrative tasks and provide financial support to operational teams.

Required profile

• B.Com Degree in Accounting.
• Completed Articles advantageous (SAICA or SAIPA).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of the full finance function.
• Bilingual ability is advantageous.
