About the role

A placement agency advertises a Silo Manager position whose main purpose is the effective management of the silo to ensure optimal profitability. The salary is described as market related.

Key responsibilities

Manage the silo to budget
Manage staff
Manage customer service
Ensure sound financial practices within the department
Manage silo administrative functions

Required profile

Grade 12
4 years of grain/silo experience
Fumigation certificate
Completed grain grading certificates
Previous experience supervising and/or managing staff
Valid driver's licence

Required skills

Good communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Computer literacy
Strong administrative skills and organisation ability
Experience managing budgets and costs
Strong leadership skills
Sound knowledge of the market and business environment
