About the role

The Short-Term Claims Consultant will join a leading financial services provider specialising in Healthy Home Insurance. Based in Pretoria, you will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of short‑term insurance claims, ensuring timely and fair outcomes for policyholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process claims from registration through assessment, validation and settlement, adhering to Service Level Agreements.
• Serve as the primary, empathetic point of contact for clients, gathering documentation, explaining procedures and providing regular updates.
• Investigate claim validity, collaborate with assessors and experts, and flag potential fraud or suspicious activity.
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers such as assessors and repairers to achieve swift resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records in the claims management system and produce required reports for the Team Leader.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
