Shop Assistant / Cashier x 2

About the role

Clicks Group is hiring two Shop Assistants / Cashiers for its Riverside Boulevard store in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. The role delivers service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operations and merchandising, leading to a positive customer experience. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all point of sale activities quickly and accurately, including scanning merchandise and collecting payment, including clubcard rewards.
• Handle cash safely at all times.
• Promote the Clicks clubcard and enrol new members to meet participation targets.
• Tell customers about promotions so they feel good and pay less.
• Act as a friendly, professional brand ambassador and give accurate product, range, promotion and event information.
• Carry out merchandising and general housekeeping duties to store and visual merchandise standards.
• Support the group's vision of being the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (matric); Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level desirable.
• Experience in a customer-facing retail/FMCG role is desirable.
• Basic maths calculations, numeracy and computer literacy.
• Strong customer orientation, planning and organising skills, problem-solving and good communication skills.
