SEO Manager – Remote (Strategic Client-Facing Role)

About the role

Pontifex Digital is seeking an experienced SEO Manager to lead the client‑facing side of our organic search function. This strategic, non‑execution role will act as the authoritative voice for clients, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and aligning SEO initiatives with broader business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact on all SEO matters, presenting progress with concrete examples and real URLs.
• Validate and quality‑check all reports and deliverables before they reach the client, catching gaps and inconsistencies.
• Own the contractual scope of each account, tracking and evidencing every promised deliverable.
• Incorporate full user‑journey mapping, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Reddit/community visibility, and LLM sentiment into client strategies.
• Coordinate with SEO specialists and delivery teams to translate strategic direction into actionable tasks.
