Senior US Tax Accountant

About the role

Join a dynamic, fully remote team as a Senior US Tax Accountant. You will manage complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, identify tax‑saving opportunities, and support case managers and attorneys throughout the audit process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file individual (1040), corporate (1120S) and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Analyze financial statements to uncover tax‑saving opportunities and assess tax risk.
• Liaise with tax authorities and represent the company during audits.
• Stay current with tax regulations, rulings and trends.
• Collaborate with legal and tax teams to gather information for filings.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management on tax matters.

Required profile

• 7+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience, including at least 1,000 individual returns and 400‑600 business returns.
• Minimum 3 years of U.S. tax accounting experience with corporate and partnership filings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or Enrolled Agent preferred.
• Experience with tax audits and R&D tax credit filings.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent English communication, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TaxAct tax software.
