Senior US Tax Accountant

About the role

Join a dynamic, fully remote team as a Senior US Tax Accountant. You will be responsible for preparing and filing complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns while identifying tax‑saving opportunities and supporting audits.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file individual (1040), corporate (1120S) and partnership tax returns.
• Analyze financial statements to uncover tax‑saving opportunities and assess risk.
• Liaise with tax authorities and represent the company during audits.
• Stay current with federal and California tax regulations and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with legal and tax teams to gather information for filings.
• Provide tax‑related insights and recommendations to management.

Required profile

• 7+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience.
• At least 1,000 individual returns and 400‑600 business returns prepared.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in U.S. tax accounting, including audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, Enrolled Agent).
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent English communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TaxAct tax software.
