Senior Tax Consultant – Tax Technology

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a driven Senior Tax Consultant with a strong blend of tax expertise, data analytics, and technology. You will support Engagement Managers in delivering high‑quality tax solutions while leveraging automation to add value for our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Support Engagement Managers in end‑to‑end delivery of client engagements and projects.
• Apply tax laws and regulations to client challenges, ensuring compliance and strategic planning.
• Automate and streamline key tax processes using data from source systems.
• Extract, transform, analyse, and visualise tax‑related data to generate actionable insights.
• Develop advanced Excel solutions and utilise VBA and Python to build automation tools.
• Proactively manage client issues and expectations, ensuring delivery excellence.
• Interpret and synthesise data, exercising professional scepticism to challenge findings and recommend improvements.
• Communicate the value of technology solutions clearly to clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or an IT‑related degree.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience, with 3–5 years in a client‑facing role.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and planning strategies aligned with client goals.
• Proficiency in process and data‑flow design, alignment, and improvement.
