Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

Join a dynamic professional team in Pretoria where your tax and accounting expertise will be highly valued. As a Senior Tax Consultant you will manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering end‑to‑end tax and accounting support across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting and tax function for assigned clients.
• Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts and sole proprietors using Caseware.
• Produce trial balances and present monthly management reports.
• Prepare and submit income tax, provisional tax and VAT returns for both corporate and individual clients.
• Handle all SARS correspondence, including objections and debt suspension requests via eFiling.
• Ensure strict compliance with all filing deadlines and maintain professional conduct.

Required profile

• Completed Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma.
• SAICA/SAIPA/ACCA/CIMA/SAIBA articles completed (affiliation preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel to client sites.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Caseware for financial statements.
• Working knowledge of Pastel accounting software.
• Strong technical knowledge of SARS eFiling platform.
