Senior Systems Analyst - Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team on a contract basis, supporting a leading banking client in Pretoria. The role focuses on analysing business needs, designing integrated solutions and ensuring successful delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements through interviews, workshops and elicitation sessions.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications, process maps, use cases and user stories.
• Collaborate with architects and development teams to design system interfaces, integration points and data flows that align with enterprise standards.
• Support development and implementation activities, act as liaison between business users and technical teams, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Develop test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing and manage defect resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, ensure governance compliance and assist with audit requirements.
• Provide regular project updates, manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate solution review workshops.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven exposure to customer loyalty platforms such as eBucks or Vitality.
• Strong knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
