Senior System Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to join a large enterprise IT environment. The role focuses on managing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and VMware infrastructures that underpin business‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Provision, configure and manage virtual servers within VMware vSphere.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Plan and implement Windows Server patching and security updates.
• Perform server provisioning, migrations and lifecycle management.
• Support backup, recovery and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with networking, security and application teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft Windows Server.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting VMware vSphere.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
