Senior Manager – Platform, Architecture & Modernisation Advisory

About the role

Deloitte Africa Engineering, AI & Data Advisory is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Platform, Architecture & Modernisation Advisory practice. The role helps CIOs, CTOs and CDAOs make strategic technology decisions and translate them into executable transformation programs.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior technology leaders on cloud, data, AI, integration and enterprise platform decisions.
• Assess and challenge existing technology strategies, identifying technical debt, structural constraints and capability gaps.
• Translate target‑state architectures into sequenced, investable transformation programs.
• Build and grow the advisory proposition, originate engagements and develop a pipeline of architecture‑led opportunities.
• Develop Deloitte’s architecture methods, reference patterns, talent framework and ecosystem relationships with hyperscalers.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise architecture or related transformation disciplines.
• Proven ability to lead complex architecture programs and influence C‑level executives.
• Deep credibility across cloud, data, AI or integration domains.
• Experience working with major hyperscalers and multi‑cloud enterprise environments.
• Strong commercial acumen in opportunity shaping, proposal development and client acquisition.
