Software License Management Specialist

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced License Management Specialist to centrally oversee, optimise and govern Cornerstone engineering software licences across the global enterprise, ensuring compliance, cost‑efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a centralised inventory of Cornerstone engineering software licences and related documentation.
• Monitor, audit and validate software usage to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and legal requirements.
• Analyse usage data to identify under‑utilised or redundant licences and recommend optimisation actions.
• Support vendor relationship management, renewal negotiations and contract updates.
• Collaborate with IT procurement, budgeting, software rationalisation and governance teams to align licence allocations with global project needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, business or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in software asset or licence management, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with engineering applications such as CAD, simulation or design software is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to a global or engineering‑focused environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, concurrent, named‑user).
• Familiarity with engineering applications (CAD, simulation, design software).
• Proficiency with licence‑management tools and reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and data‑interpretation abilities.
