Senior Manager Data Analytics and Optimisation

About the role

The Senior Manager Data Analytics and Optimisation leads the Human Capital Information Systems (HCIS) function, ensuring that technology services, data portals and analytics deliver reliable, compliant and strategic insights for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction to a team of technology professionals delivering end‑user services for human capital systems.
• Oversee all HCIS projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Manage HC data portals and systems, and develop a comprehensive HCIS framework aligned with strategic goals.
• Guide first‑line managers and supervisors, execute complex analysis, identify root causes and contribute to solutions.
• Support functional system testing and ensure alignment with statutory and policy frameworks.
• Define medium‑to‑long‑term objectives for e‑Recruitment, e‑HC, payroll and other HR systems.
• Monitor trends, legislative changes and technological advances to recommend appropriate methodologies.
• Communicate with executives on key performance areas and align operational capacity with strategic targets.
• Identify opportunities to maximise ERP investment, prevent loss (fraud, error) and improve data‑driven decision‑making.
• Maintain and review user‑training material and resolve testing‑related issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing technology teams and human capital information systems.
• Strong understanding of statutory guidelines, compliance requirements and national HR policy frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Experience in system testing, ERP optimisation and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of e‑Recruitment, e‑HC and payroll management functionalities.
