Senior Legal Recruitment Consultant

About the role

AGC Legal Recruitment is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Senior Legal Recruitment Consultant to work fully remotely. The role takes ownership of candidate delivery, manages recruitment processes through to placement and contributes to the growth of an established specialist legal recruitment business. It is not a junior sourcing or CV-forwarding position.

Key responsibilities

• Headhunt and source legal professionals through direct outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn and talent mapping
• Recruit across legal disciplines such as Commercial, Corporate, Litigation, Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Property, Employment, Compliance, Risk, Regulatory, Tax, Family Law and In-House Legal
• Interview candidates to assess technical expertise, experience, remuneration expectations and cultural fit
• Prepare shortlists, present candidates to clients and manage candidate expectations
• Negotiate offers, manage counteroffers and drive placements to onboarding
• Maintain relationships with attorneys, associates, partners, legal executives, in-house counsel and clients
• Manage vacancies from briefing to placement, keeping CRM records and recruitment metrics accurate
• Work toward placement, conversion, billing and delivery targets

Required profile

• 4-8+ years of recruitment experience, specifically in legal recruitment
• Demonstrable experience headhunting and placing legal professionals
• Experience recruiting attorneys, associates, partners, senior legal professionals and/or in-house counsel
• Proven track record of placements and revenue generation
• Commercially astute, with an understanding of recruitment fees, conversion and revenue targets

Required skills

• Excellent interviewing, screening, negotiation and closing skills
• Strong LinkedIn sourcing, headhunting, networking and talent-mapping
• Strong CRM administration and pipeline management
• Ability to manage a full recruitment desk independently in a remote environment
