Senior Lecturer – Information Systems

About the role

The Department of Information Systems is seeking a Senior Lecturer (Grade SL) to join its academic team. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and community engagement while supporting the department’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Systems and related areas.
• Develop and update curricula, including modules on Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing.
• Conduct and publish research, supervise Master's theses, and enhance the department’s research profile.
• Engage with the wider community and professional bodies, representing the department.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university administration, taking on leadership or management duties as required.

Required profile

• PhD in Information Systems or a closely related discipline (or a Master’s degree with an imminent PhD submission).
• Proven teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including course design.
• Track record of supervising Master’s research projects.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience in academic or professional settings.
• Emerging national reputation in Information Systems or a related field.
