About the role

Our client, a leading financial services firm in Gauteng, seeks a Senior Investment Consultant to deliver advanced financial analysis, investment research, and strategic insights. The role supports informed investment decisions, optimises portfolio performance, and drives growth while managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive investment advice to institutional clients such as pension funds and insurance companies, developing tailored strategies that align with their goals.
• Oversee client portfolio management, ensuring optimal asset allocation, monitoring performance, and adjusting positions in response to market conditions.
• Conduct market research, analyse economic indicators, and evaluate the impact of global events and regulatory changes on client portfolios.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including investment strategy, compliance, and client services—to deliver integrated solutions and share market insights.
• Prepare and present detailed investment reports, performance reviews, and regular market updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for ongoing support and strategic guidance.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in investment consulting or portfolio management within the banking or investment management sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an investment team, working effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to translate complex market data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for client advisory and reporting.
