Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

RCL Foods, a leading South African food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join its Group Services Division. Based in Westville, you will provide independent oversight of the effectiveness and compliance of the Group’s internal controls and report to the Internal Audit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits in line with the annual audit plan and methodology.
• Engage with line management to understand business processes, identify risks and assess existing controls.
• Evaluate the adequacy of controls and recommend improvements aligned with organisational policies.
• Assist the Internal Audit Manager in preparing a risk‑based internal audit plan each year.
• Conduct audit testing to verify design and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Follow up on audit findings, verify compliance and report results to management.
• Record deviations, compile findings, root causes and recommendations, and track management commitments.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, or professional qualification such as CIA or CA (SA).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in auditing activities.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency with SAP is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
