Senior Front of House Manager – High Volume Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front of House Manager to lead operations for a multi‑outlet up‑market restaurant group. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, maintaining productivity, and ensuring a balanced work‑life environment for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Direct Front of House activities in line with company policies.
• Manage POS systems, daily cash‑ups, and assist with stock control and purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Lead staff training, development, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Marketing to drive promotions and profitability.
• Handle guest interactions, build relationships, and resolve complaints.
• Maintain service standards and monitor performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric Senior Certificate; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Proven management experience in Food & Beverage operations.
• Strong understanding of hospitality service standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Stable employment history with verifiable references.
• Resides within reasonable distance from the restaurant and holds a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.
• Knowledge of HSE compliance in a restaurant setting.
