Senior Field Service Technician – CNC Machines

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair CNC machine tools across South Africa. You will work directly with customers, ensuring machines are operational, calibrated and that users are trained on safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission CNC laser cutting, fibre laser, plasma and other industrial automation equipment.
• Perform machine alignment, calibration, acceptance testing and configure parameters to manufacturer specifications.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support, respond quickly to breakdowns and produce detailed service reports.
• Train customers on operation, preventative maintenance and recommend improvements for reliability.

Required profile

• National N2–N6 qualification in Electrical or Millwright (preferred).
• 3–5 years experience servicing CNC machine tools or industrial automation equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, excellent communication and customer‑focused attitude.
• Valid South African driver’s licence; willingness to travel extensively.
