Senior Engineer – Building Civils & Data Centers

About the role

The Senior Engineer leads building civil works for data centre projects, delivering detailed calculations, drawings and reports. The role involves design development, review, supervision, coordination and documentation while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a design team of junior and mid‑level staff, ensuring coordinated, high‑quality deliverables across disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership on stormwater, water, sewerage, bulk earthworks, road and pavement design using BIM tools.
• Support business development by building client relationships and contributing to technical bids and proposals.
• Interface with clients on schedules, meetings and issues, managing expectations and delivering within scope, budget and timeframe.

Required profile

• 4‑year Civil Engineering degree (M.Eng or MSc preferred) with at least 8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr.Eng (Civil) for a minimum of 3 years.
• Proven ability to develop trusted client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure.
