Senior Data Specialist

About the role

The Senior Data Specialist supports Ford Protect's data, reporting and plan administration activities. The role combines business intelligence, Google Cloud, Alteryx and data analytics expertise with responsibility for accurate plan uploads, pricing, dealer communications and system maintenance. It suits someone with strong analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work across business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, resolve issues and support business decisions.
• Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports and visualisations using Google Cloud tools.
• Build, maintain, run and sunset Alteryx workflows to prepare data, automate processes and support reporting.
• Validate data, investigate discrepancies and document data sources, workflows and reporting definitions.
• Balance financial bordereaux, reconcile them with the Finance team and prepare quarterly CBR regulatory reports.
• Meet with dealers to answer analytics enquiries, present findings to management and attend weekly meetings on progress and issues.
• Provide operational support for Ford Protect Customer Care, Claims and Vehicle Inspection, including monitoring shared mailboxes, handling calls and covering when required.
• Review claims data for completeness and accuracy, analyse claims trends and liaise with dealers and internal teams on claims enquiries.
• Bulk-upload monthly retail files, upload plans from Alteryx workflows to GESB, upload retail and portal files, review error logs and make system corrections.
• Write and load dealer bulletins.

Required profile

• 3-4 years' experience in a similar role; automotive industry experience is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or a related field; equivalent qualifications and experience may also be considered.

Required skills

• Strong BI, reporting and data visualisation skills.
• Experience in data analytics, BI reporting, Google Cloud and Alteryx.
• Advantageous: Excel Advanced, BI, PowerPoint.
• Clear written and verbal communication, good organisation and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
