Senior Content & Communications Specialist

About the role

Machine_ is seeking an experienced Senior Content & Communications Specialist to lead content strategy and communication initiatives for its major clients. The role combines editorial expertise with strategic thinking to deliver compelling B2B, B2C, CRM and internal communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop content strategies and communication plans aligned with client business objectives and KPIs.
• Understand and map content channels, user journeys, formats and success metrics.
• Lead content planning, commissioning, editing and writing across B2B, B2C, CRM and internal communication projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure storytelling is consistent and impactful.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for content‑related matters.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with a solid editorial and communications background.
• Proven experience in corporate and internal communications, storytelling and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client‑facing engagements and build long‑term relationships.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (3‑4 days onsite) and attend in‑person client meetings.
• BBEEE‑preference position reporting to the Head of Specialist Content & Communication.
