Content Marketing Coordinator – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are looking for a creative and organised Content Marketing Coordinator to join the marketing team of a leading fashion retailer in Wynberg, Cape Town. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will help execute the digital marketing strategy by coordinating social media content, influencer collaborations and various marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and publish content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other digital channels.
• Support the promotional calendar, seasonal campaigns and sale events.
• Prepare creative briefs and manage workflow with internal teams and external agencies.
• Assist with SMS marketing and paid‑media campaign execution.
• Manage user‑generated content, community‑management activities and weekly newsletters for stores.
• Verify product availability and ensure all copy follows brand guidelines.
• Research, propose and track influencer partnerships, including cost estimates and performance reporting.
• Coordinate fashion shoots, liaise with photographers, stylists and support in‑house video production.
• Maintain product marketing assets such as images, SKUs and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in marketing, content creation or digital media, preferably in retail or agency environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for content scheduling.
• Experience in SMS marketing and paid‑media platforms.
• Knowledge of influencer marketing processes and partnership management.
• Ability to create and edit video content.
• Familiarity with newsletter creation and product documentation.
