Senior Brand Manager - Coca-Cola

About the role

The Senior Brand Manager leads the transformation of the Coca-Cola brand in South Africa, playing a critical role in achieving company goals. The main objective is to implement the vision of the Coca-Cola portfolio, define a purposeful growth strategy and refresh the brand-building capabilities of the teams. The role is based in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of the brand strategy for the Coca-Cola portfolio, including innovation and communication strategies based on strong consumer insights and analysis
• Support the development of the category strategic business plan and the Coca-Cola ABP, and co-create the market ABP
• Support the development of Coca-Cola platforms, calendars and DME, align with the Marketing Manager and support deployment across markets
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop holistic plans that enable growth
• Develop Coca-Cola innovation and communication initiatives end-to-end through the CIF process, write business briefs for communication initiatives and ensure disciplined performance tracking (after-action, during-action and category reviews)
• Support marketing activation teams in major initiatives such as bottler meetings and quarterly business plan reviews, and ensure information flows between teams
• Develop ad hoc category initiatives to meet annual business objectives, monitor category and brand execution and proactively solve market issues with the local team
• Model the behaviours and competencies of the future marketer and engage cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of brand marketing experience in a FMCG or equivalent environment, covering brand management and project management
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Economics
