Senior B-BBEE Verification Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior B‑BBEE Verification Manager to lead end‑to‑end verification projects for a range of clients. The role is hybrid, based in Pretoria East, and involves close collaboration with SANAS‑accredited verification agencies and internal specialist teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete B‑BBEE verification process across multiple client engagements.
• Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, and SANAS‑accredited verification agencies.
• Prepare, review and finalise comprehensive verification files ensuring compliance with the B‑BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
• Review scorecard evidence for all B‑BBEE elements and work with legal counsel to shape client BEE strategy.
• Identify missing documentation, engage clients proactively, and obtain required evidence.
• Collaborate with Ownership, Skills Development, Employment Equity, Enterprise Development and Supplier Development teams to reflect accurate scorecard data.
• Prepare verification schedules, working papers and verification summaries.
• Monitor timelines and ensure client deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Human Resources, Law, Business Management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of practical experience in B‑BBEE consulting, verification management or verification analysis.
• In‑depth knowledge of the B‑BBEE Act, Codes of Good Practice and applicable sector codes.
• Experience preparing verification files for Generic Enterprises, Qualifying Small Enterprises (QSEs) and Exempted Micro Enterprises (EMEs).
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple clients simultaneously.
• Fluent in Afrikaans (native) and English, both written and spoken.
