Senior Android Developer – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to design, develop and maintain Android‑based payment solutions for a fintech company in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on integrating EMV payment kernel technology and building secure, scalable financial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance Android applications for banking and payment solutions.
• Integrate and optimise EMV payment kernel functionality, including NFC‑based transactions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and implement new features.
• Ensure compliance with banking and financial security standards such as PCI‑DSS.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise application performance.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in Android development and fintech innovations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin or Java.
• Proven experience in payments, banking or fintech applications.
• Strong understanding of Android EMV payment kernel and NFC transactions.
