Senior Accountant

About the role
We are seeking a qualified SAIPA accountant to join a leading client in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for core accounting functions and will have a clear pathway to progress into an Accounting Manager position.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage the month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with SAIPA/SAICA standards and local tax regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Required profile
- BCom degree.
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles.
- Desire to develop into an Accounting Manager role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
