Security X-Ray Assembly Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Security X‑Ray Assembly Technician to join our production team in Pretoria. You will be responsible for assembling, testing and inspecting OEM security X‑ray equipment, ensuring every unit meets our strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and test OEM security X‑ray machines and related components.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly according to technical specifications.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical drawings.
• Conduct basic fault‑finding and troubleshooting during assembly and testing.
• Carry out quality inspections and complete required production documentation.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and company quality procedures.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Valid South African ID and driver’s licence.
• N3‑N6 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent (preferred).
• Occupational Health & Safety training (if applicable).
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn; prior assembly experience is a plus but not mandatory.
