School Operations Coordinator – Primary School

About the role

The School Operations Coordinator drives student achievement by ensuring smooth, efficient school operations and upholding a consistent standard of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee scholar arrivals, dismissals and traffic flow, implementing safety protocols.
• Coordinate scholar transitions between classrooms, lunch and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of assets and ensure facilities are well‑maintained.
• Serve as primary contact for parents on operational matters and train front‑office staff.
• Manage the after‑care program, including staffing, scheduling and scholar safety.
• Handle procurement of supplies, track spending and align with the school budget.
• Directly manage supervisors during lunch, break and after‑care, providing professional development.
• Oversee scholar transportation logistics and safety.

Required profile

• English language fluency.
• Police clearance certificate.
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Completed or final year of a 3‑ or 4‑year degree with proof of registration.
• First aid training (advantageous).
• Experience in operations, administration, procurement, project management or facilities management.
• Experience with labour laws.
• Experience managing or working with primary‑school‑aged children.
