Sales Representative – Direct Mini Market – Tier 3 – Field Sales – Limpopo

About the role

Diplomat South Africa is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to cover the Direct Mini Market segment in Limpopo, focusing on the Louis Trichardt area and the corridor from Polokwane to Musina. Reporting to the Area Sales Supervisor, you will drive sales and merchandising initiatives for larger retail outlets and mini‑markets.

Key responsibilities

• Influence and sell predetermined sales solutions to targeted customers.
• Execute the sales plan for allocated accounts, achieving monthly sales and display targets.
• Negotiate shelf and display space with customers.
• Maintain regular communication with the team through weekly and monthly meetings.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships while ensuring high service levels.
• Implement merchandising standards (block, cross, format, vertical) and correct pricing.
• Manage stock rotation using FIFO principles and apply planograms accurately.
• Increase product visibility through gondola ends, side stacks, power wings, and other display units.
• Maintain adequate stock levels to prevent out‑of‑stock situations.
• Facilitate orders, handle damages/returns, and conduct stock counts.
• Provide market intelligence and support ad‑hoc promotional events.

Required profile

• Completed Matric or equivalent (SAQA accredited).
• Diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing.
• 3–5 years experience as a Sales Representative.
• 3–5 years experience in sales and merchandising, preferably within FMCG.
• Experience dealing with independent retail and wholesale accounts.
• Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
• Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
