About the role

Join FNB’s Points of Presence team as a Community Advisor supporting the Department of Home Affairs Initiative. You will deliver exceptional customer experiences by understanding needs, offering tailored banking solutions, and guiding clients to the most suitable service channels.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Provide a positive customer experience and address transactional needs.
• Communicate processes and requirements clearly and simply.
• Ensure compliance with rules, processes and risk guidelines.
• Educate customers on the appropriate digital and self‑service banking platforms.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions.
• Achieve sales results by delivering contextual, integrated banking products.
• Identify and optimise channel opportunities aligned to customer needs.

Required profile

• Preferred qualification: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence guiding customers toward digital and self‑service solutions.
• Strong accuracy, discipline and adherence to processes.
• Organisational, planning and time‑management capability.
• Customer‑centric attitude with empathy and problem‑solving mindset.
• Agile, flexible and results‑driven with persuasive selling ability.
