New Business Developer – National (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established legal services provider, is looking for a dynamic New Business Developer to drive market expansion, strategic partnerships and qualified opportunities across South Africa. The role can be based from any of the company’s offices and operates on a hybrid model after a three‑month probation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new markets, organisations and business growth opportunities, building a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Research target industries, locate key decision‑makers and establish strategic partnerships to penetrate new sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, HR leaders, government bodies, SOEs, municipalities, unions and large private‑sector employers.
• Convert relationships into viable business opportunities, qualify prospects and hand them over to the sales team.
• Represent the organisation at client meetings, networking events and industry engagements, increasing brand awareness and market visibility.

Required profile

• A market‑related qualification and proven experience in business development, sales or relationship management.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business opportunities and a strong professional network.
• Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercially astute, target‑driven, proactive, self‑motivated and highly organised.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and willingness to travel nationally.
