Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead business development and sales activities across South Africa and the Southern African region, driving revenue growth for Tenece Professional Services Limited.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities, maintain a healthy pipeline and coordinate sales activities within South Africa and the Southern African region.
• Develop strategies and make informed decisions through IT and business research to meet and exceed revenue goals.
• Leverage the company brand to create visibility and traction, and create proposals to win deals.
• Increase market share year on year by an agreed percentage and retain a set percentage of customers annually.
• Develop and manage the operational budget while meeting budget success parameters.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and other external parties.
• Manage and coach the sales team, providing feedback for performance improvement.
• Guide resolution of technical challenges on customer sites and coordinate project teams to establish plans and schedules.
• Provide regular progress reports and recommendations for existing or potential challenges.

Required profile

• An MBA and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT verticals such as security, database applications, networking, or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to engage C‑suite executives, develop business and sales strategies, and work in an agile environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant IT certifications and proficiency with digital tools.
• Demonstrated experience in sales management, preferably within the IT sector, and a solid understanding of IT products, services, and industry trends.
