Sales Executive

About the role

As a Sales Executive (Merchant Acquisition Executive) you will expand and manage The ENTERTAINER’s network of merchant partners across South Africa. You will identify new opportunities, build relationships and secure long‑term partnerships that deliver value to both merchants and our users.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new merchants and strengthen existing partnerships across dining, leisure, beauty, fitness and entertainment categories.
• Proactively identify potential merchants through market visits, networking and outreach.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closure.
• Verify, collect and process documentation related to merchant agreements and offers.
• Onboard and train merchants on platform usage.
• Collaborate with content, operations, marketing and finance teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
• Monitor merchant performance, feedback and redemptions to drive retention and engagement.
• Support merchants with tactical campaigns and promotional initiatives throughout the year.
• Track and report daily activities, KPI progress and deal status updates.
• Conduct compliance checks and stay updated on market trends and competitor activity.

• Persistent and able to overcome objections with professional negotiation.
• Customer‑focused, listening to client needs and delivering swift, quality results.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently without close supervision.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and capable of prioritising in a fast‑paced environment.
