Sales Executive - Catering and Baking Equipment

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of catering and baking equipment based in Cape Town, is seeking a proactive Sales Executive to drive growth across the hospitality sector. You will build and nurture relationships with chefs, catering managers and hotel operators, promoting the product range and securing new business.

Key responsibilities

• Visit chefs, catering managers and hotel managers to present equipment solutions.
• Promote sales and secure orders through relationship‑based selling.
• Upsell and tailor product recommendations to client needs.
• Prepare clear written quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Coordinate sales activities with marketing, logistics and account teams.
• Stay updated on new products, market trends and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12; tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing is an advantage.
• Proven experience in the baking, catering or food industry, preferably in a sales or customer‑service role.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales quotas.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
