Energy Exemplar, a global leader in energy market simulation and analytical software, is seeking a Sales Director to lead its expansion across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). The role is remote and focuses on acquiring new logos for energy organisations that need advanced simulations for power grids, renewable energy integration and market transitions. It suits a professional who enjoys hunting for new business and understands the European energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Build a strong pipeline through executive outreach, industry events and targeted prospecting.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from cold discovery calls to contract negotiation and signature.
• Engage senior decision-makers and explain how the software solves their energy modelling challenges.
• Partner with technical experts to run tailored demonstrations.
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, give reliable forecasts to leadership and execute a territory plan focused on high-value accounts.

Required profile

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets, with maturity for long, high-stakes sales cycles.
• Native-level German and fluent English.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Required skills

• Enterprise software sales, preferably into the energy or utilities sector.
• Ability to close multi-layered deals with several stakeholders and technical layers.
