SAICA Post-Article Audit Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a SAICA Post‑Article Audit Supervisor to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will have recently completed their articles and will take ownership of audit engagements from planning through to completion, while mentoring trainee accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagements (compilations, independent reviews, audits, agreed‑upon procedures) with a team of trainee accountants.
• Manage work‑in‑progress, monitor timelines and address overruns.
• Collaborate with the portfolio manager and engagement partner.
• Provide on‑the‑job mentoring and training to trainees.
• Review trainee work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Oversee SAICA assessment forms and handle administrative duties, including timesheet submission.

Required profile

• SAICA‑endorsed qualification; ADP opportunity available.
• Recent completion of articles or seeking further audit experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, VAT, Income Tax, Companies Act and Auditing Standards.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
