Retail Team Leader - Port Elizabeth

About the role

An FMCG/Retail client, recruited through Talent Candey, is looking for a Retail Team Leader based in Port Elizabeth who must live in the Port Elizabeth surrounding area. The Team Leader oversees the store as a whole and manages a small team of 2 Sales Assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve store sales and gross profit targets
• Manage visual merchandising and show what world-class service looks like
• Ensure the store is fully stocked and orders are placed accordingly
• Handle merchandise and stock controls, shrinkage and stock loss
• Manage all staff, coach and motivate the team, and act as a proud brand ambassador
• Take responsibility for all admin functions

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent (required)
• 3 years of retail experience preferred
• 1 year of management experience preferred
• Previous management experience desirable
• Must reside in the Port Elizabeth area

• Knowledge of retail management best practice
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong IT and numerical skills
• Sound product knowledge
