Reservations Specialist – Africa

About the role

G Adventures is seeking a Reservations Specialist for its Africa region. The role ensures accurate management of transportation, activities, flights, accommodation and on‑tour bookings while coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute flight bookings, ticketing and related support for travelers, guides and staff using airline reservation systems.
• Manage transportation, activity, and accommodation reservations, including special requests, rooming configurations and VIP departures.
• Handle duplicated, enhanced and custom group bookings, ensuring timely communication and compliance with airline policies.
• Mentor junior coordinators, support process improvements and contribute to cross‑departmental projects.
• Assist with supplier training, emergency situation handling and overall operational efficiency across the Africa region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in travel or tour reservations and ticketing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GDS (Global Distribution System) airline reservation platforms.
• Familiarity with airline ticketing procedures and policies.
