Reservations Consultant – Luxury Safari

About the role

Join a leading luxury safari company as a Reservations Consultant, supporting a portfolio of high‑end lodges from the head office in Pretoria. You will be the primary point of contact for guests, managing the full booking lifecycle and ensuring a seamless, memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle enquiries, bookings, confirmations and payments from initial contact to post‑stay follow‑up.
• Maximise occupancy by filling room gaps and upselling lodge experiences.
• Liaise with lodge operations to coordinate guest arrivals, special requests and any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deposits, outstanding balances and payment schedules.
• Provide courteous, professional communication via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Assist all properties in the portfolio with reservation‑related tasks and occasional travel as required.

Required profile

• Matric with a relevant tourism qualification; diploma or degree advantageous.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a similar hospitality reservations role.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, make sound judgments and manage time independently.
• Strong business acumen in tourism rates, activities and lodge procedures.
• Willingness to be on‑call during weekends and public holidays and to work a live‑out schedule.

Required skills

• PANStrat Admin System (experience advantageous)
• Efficient computer skills
