Reservationist – Luxury Game Lodge

About the role

The Reservationist will be the first point of contact for guests booking a stay at a 5‑star game lodge. You will manage all reservation enquiries, ensure accurate booking records and deliver a seamless pre‑arrival experience for both domestic and international guests.

Key responsibilities

• Handle reservation enquiries via phone, email, website and travel agents.
• Process bookings, quotations, itineraries, confirmations and invoices in the Property Management System.
• Manage amendments, cancellations, special requests and guest preferences.
• Coordinate transfers, safari drives, spa bookings and special occasions.
• Maintain daily room availability and update booking inventory.
• Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Guides and F&B teams regarding arrivals.
• Upsell lodge packages, activities and additional services.
• Respond professionally to guest complaints and reservation issues.
• Assist with reporting, administration and reservation filing.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric; hospitality or tourism diploma/degree preferred.
• 2–5 years experience in reservations or front office at a 4‑star/5‑star lodge or hotel.
• Previous luxury game lodge experience and exposure to international guests.
• Valid driver’s licence is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PMS systems such as Protel, Opera, PANS, Strat and Odyssey.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of OTA platforms and online booking systems.
