Reporting Consultant

About the role

Join a fast‑growing, technology‑driven advisory firm that helps large organisations simplify and automate financial reporting and planning. You will work with major corporate and public‑sector clients, delivering smarter ways to plan, analyse and report financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build reporting and planning applications using specialised financial reporting software.
• Create data collection templates and financial models with advanced Excel functionality.
• Configure reporting structures and integrate data from multiple source systems.
• Produce automated financial reports, dashboards and analytical outputs for client use.
• Manage client relationships, provide system support and recommend optimisation.
• Assist with implementation projects, documentation and client training while contributing to internal process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• BCom in Finance or related degree (completed or in progress); CIMA or CA(SA) qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, financial management or as a financial business analyst.
• Experience implementing or supporting financial reporting/planning software solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, reporting outputs).
• Understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Exposure to SQL or database environments.
