Remote Sales Development Representative (SaaS/B2B)

About the role

A UK-based HR technology company, which builds an AI-powered applicant tracking system for SMEs in the care and social care sectors, is looking for a remote Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in South Africa. The role is predominantly outbound: generating qualified opportunities for the sales team by cold calling, emailing and reaching out on LinkedIn to HR, Talent Acquisition and Operations leaders in the UK. It is paid at £1,100 plus uncapped commission (20,000 ZAR plus commissions).

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach.
• Research target accounts and personalise outreach to decision-makers.
• Generate and book qualified discovery meetings and product demos for the sales team.
• Qualify prospects and handle initial objections.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, activity logs, notes and pipeline stages in HubSpot.
• Collaborate with the sales team to improve messaging, outreach sequences and conversion rates.
• Meet weekly activity targets and monthly qualified meeting quotas.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in an outbound SDR or BDR role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Confident cold-calling and strong written communication for email and LinkedIn.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working remotely.
• An advantage: experience selling to HR, Talent Acquisition or recruitment professionals, knowledge of the UK care sector, and startup/scale-up experience.
