Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help safeguard critical systems and data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to reduce risk and prevent future breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Ability to analyse logs and network traffic to spot anomalies.
• Experience following incident‑response procedures.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
