Remote Construction Estimator & Project Coordinator

About the role

Avondale Equities is seeking a remote Construction Estimator and Project Coordinator to support pre‑construction and early project phases. Working directly with the Director of Construction, you will help translate incomplete plans into actionable decisions and gradually take on broader project‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP and consultant drawings to spot coordination issues, missing information, scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Prepare trade‑specific RFPs, bid packages, scope sheets and subcontractor exhibits.
• Source qualified subcontractors, distribute bid packages, track follow‑ups and manage proposal completion.
• Level and compare subcontractor bids, identify exclusions and validate construction costs through market research and supplier quotes.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and evaluate owner‑direct purchasing options.
• Draft RFIs and coordinate outstanding questions with consultants, designers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist with project and procurement schedules, long‑lead item tracking and comprehensive budget assembly.

Required profile

• Experience in pre‑construction, estimating or project coordination within the construction industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn incomplete data into clear project decisions.
• Excellent written communication for RFI drafting and bid documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, aligned with Pacific Standard Time.
