Registered Nurse – Theatre (Part‑time)

About the role

Our client, a leading private healthcare provider, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to work in the operating theatre of a private hospital in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The position is part‑time and focuses on delivering safe, high‑quality peri‑operative care within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive peri‑operative nursing care in accordance with the Scope of Practice.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all nursing interventions.
• Manage surgical equipment, instruments and theatre stock, ensuring proper charging and documentation.
• Support a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.

Required profile

• Valid South African Nursing Council (SANC) licence.
• At least one year of post‑qualification experience in an operating theatre.
• Additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing or a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and relevant BCA bundles.
