Registered Nurse / Independent Clinical Technologist – Dialysis Practitioner

About the role

National Renal Care is seeking a qualified Dialysis Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary team in Alberton. The role focuses on delivering safe, evidence‑based dialysis care while promoting patient‑centred decision‑making and self‑management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis services in line with professional and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, and continuous learning initiatives.
• Monitor clinical and patient‑reported outcomes and apply evidence‑based practice throughout the patient journey.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing or BTech in Clinical Technology.
• Registered with SANC as a Nurse/Midwife or with HPCSA as an Independent Clinical Technologist.
• 1‑2 years experience in a haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis unit.
• Experience operating dialysis equipment and water‑treatment systems.
• Knowledge of quality improvement, risk management, and relevant South African health legislation.
