Registered Nurse (ICU Qualified)

About the role

Crestcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with ICU qualification to join its intensive care team. You will deliver high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients, supporting their recovery and ensuring safe, effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medication and treatments, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using computer systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and families on health matters and promote well‑being.

Required profile

• Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma or B. Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
• Post‑basic qualification and at least 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical‑care setting.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Good mental and physical health to meet the demands of the role.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organisational abilities.
