Registered Nurse – General Wards – Hospital – Nelspruit

About the role

The Registered Nurse will deliver compassionate, high‑quality nursing care to patients on general wards, supporting well‑being, health education and safe clinical outcomes in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Administer oral, intramuscular and intravenous medications, manage IV lines, provide wound care and post‑operative support.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures, assist with admissions, discharges and doctors’ rounds.
• Promote patient nutrition, mobility, hygiene and overall comfort while delivering health education.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing, B Cur Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
• At least one year of experience in private healthcare (advantageous).
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and compliance with its Code of Conduct.
• Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
